ANNOUNCING THE RE-RELEASE OF THE PAPERBAG: IMPROVISATIONAL MUSIC CO. ALBUM CATALOG!

My former band-mate from PaperBag, the intrepid genius Greg Eric Segal, has created a page on

BANDCAMP, where he has made our re-mastered PaperBag: Improvisational Music Co. releases available for listening and downloading.

(Be sure to check out Greg's solo works and other music there...he's amazing and prolific!)

The most recent re-release is the album that started it all, the record that made SST want to sign us to their label.


This independent cassette-only release was distributed by the band themselves, and when SST founders heard it, they had to sign us.


Now digitally cleaned and remastered, this landmark album will get you 'bagged'.

Our second album for SST Records was comprised of a side of studio tracks, and a side of live tracks recorded out in the desert. This album shows us stretching our legs, musically speaking, far beyond our first record.

Our third release for SST, and the first available only on CD. The extended length of the medium allowed us to pack it full of 25 tracks!

We once did a "by-proxy" radio tour for SST, and this is a curated best-of from the first several of the 26 total sets that we recorded. 

The beauty is the material was recorded to pristine analog tape, stored for decades, then digitized, remixed, and remastered by George Radai and Kenny Ryman using state-of-the-art tech to bring out every nuance.
